The UGC invites annually nominations from institutions on its UGC Teaching Award, which is established to honour staff who excel in teaching in the UGC sector. The Scheme this year consists of three categories: (1) General Faculty Members (open to individuals only); (2) Early Career Faculty Members (open to individuals only); and (3) Teams. Each university is invited to submit no more than three nominations in total, with no more than one nomination in each Award category. For Team nominations, teams with member from more than one UGC-funded universities are welcome. Details are set out in the UGC’s letter dated February 1, 2019 (Appendix A).

Applications are now invited from teaching excellence award winners for these three categories of awards, and successful UGC-funded T&L project holders for the team award. For details, please refer to the circular from the Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor dated February 1, 2019. Applications should reach Ms. Synthia Chau, Curriculum Development and Quality Assurance Section of the Registry
