Message from HKU Horizons Office

Dear Students and Colleagues,

HKU will team up with Common Purpose, a global leadership development organization that runs programmes all over the world, to offer the HKU-Common Purpose Leadership Development
Programme 2017. The Programme will launch on Campus at HKU in March 2017. Most of the work will take place in Manila in June 2017.

The programme will enable 100 HKU students to:

  • work in groups of 10 across boundaries
  • devise, plan and implement group projects
  • gain access to leading organizations in Manila
  • boost their cultural intelligence
  • develop their leadership skills
  • learn about the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals

Each participant will receive HK$5,000 to support airfare, accommodation and in-country costs. Application period is from October 3 to December 30, 2016. Details can be viewed at https://tl.hku.hk/horizons/LDP2017.

Two identical briefing sessions will be held to introduce the

  • Wed September 28 at 2 pm in Convocation Room, Room 218, 2/F, Main Building
  • Mon October 17 at 2 pm in G-07, G/F, Main Building.
