Global Leader Experience Programme

What if the world’s greatest challenges were in your hands?

Join a Global Leader Experience (GLE) Programme and develop your ability to lead from a truly global perspective. Organized and led by Common Purpose, a global leadership development organization that specializes in cross-boundary leadership, the GLE will explore a major world challenge “How do we ensure technological innovation drives societal as well as economic value in cities?”

Date

Session 1 will run for 4 days on June 17-20, 2019.

50 students from Universities of Birmingham and Nottingham will take part in the programme on the campus of HKU. Students from HKU will have the opportunity to mingle with the visiting students from the UK as well as to participate in the GLE.

Session 2 will run for 4 days on August 27-30, 2019.

A total of 100 students from local universities will take part in the programme on the campus of HKU.

Full-day workshops including city visits and workshops will be run during the above periods.

Eligibility

Students from all disciplines in all years of study who possess good English communications skills are welcome to apply.

Application Period

Applications are now accepted until the following deadlines:

  • Session 1: 12:00 noon, May 6 (Monday)
  • Session 2: 12:00 noon, June 10 (Monday)

Selection interview may be conducted. Please complete the online application form by clicking here before the deadlines.

Programme Fee

HKU students will participate in all the programme activities for free. Lunch will be provided during the programme. A deposit of $200 will be required at the time of acceptance of offer. The deposit is refundable upon completion of the programme.
