Visa and Travel Information

Preparing for your China immersion as the programme involves travel to mainland China, participants must handle visa requirements.

  • For Hong Kong Residents: Typically visa-free for short stays, but confirm with current regulations.
  • For Non-Local Students: Apply for a China visa via the Chinese Visa Application Service Center. Processing time: 4-6 weeks. Non-local students may need a No Objection Letter (NOL) from HKU for internships/projects, similar to HKU Co-op education programme requirements.
  • Support Provided: LINK offers guidance sessions and document templates. Costs (~HK$500-1,000) are not covered but can be offset by the subsidy.
