10th Anniversary of Project Mingde (Department of Civil Engineering)

Message from Department of Civil Engineering

Project Mingde, a charity project to build schools and facilities in mainland China, was established by the Department of Civil Engineering at HKU in 2004. It aims to provide education for children in impoverished villages or disaster areas in mainland China and let students contribute to the society by their skills and knowledge. Project Mingde has completed four projects in Guangxi and Sichuan and provided HKU students with opportunities to involve in the design and construction process. Project Mingde is now inviting students from other disciplines to join by different means. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Project Mingde is going to hold an exhibition and a sharing session (Registration) to present its rationale and the messages from students participating in the project.

Please visit the official webpage (http://www.civil.hku.hk/mingde/) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/projectmingde/) of Project Mingde for more details.
